Preperation

  • It is recommended to eat a few hours before receiving a tattoo. (Failure to do so can result in light-headedness or fainting in rare cases. You are welcome to bring snacks. For larger appointments I give multiple breaks.)

  • All clients are to be freshly showered and have the tattoo location properly shaved. (If I have to shave the area right before your tattoo, the tattoo will hurt more due to the skin being more sensitive. It is best the shave the area 24 hours prior to your appointment.)

  • All clients are to not wear self tanning lotion at least 2 weeks prior to appointment.(Wearing self tanning lotion can increase the risk of infection during the tattoo healing process)

  • All clients are to not have sun damage in the area being tattooed during the tattoo appointment (Sun burn/Peeling skin) If a client comes in with sun damaged skin in the area to be tattooed, I will not be able to do your tattoo and you will forfeit your deposit.

  • The area to be tattooed is to be in good condition.

  • Any skin issues that cause the tattoo appointment to be canceled will result in a forfeited deposit. This means you will have to make a new appointment for when the area is healed or in better tattooing condition. (Skin rashes, poison ivy, road rash, skin blisters, sunburn , peeling skin, currently damaged or cut skin, ect. Tattooing over said skin conditions can result in scarred skin, infections, or just an overall faded tattoo.)

  • I keep my studio very cold ,so you are encouraged to bring a Jacket, sweater, blanket, baggy/loose fitting sweatpants.

  • Clients are allowed to bring a small blanket to their appointment. If you have pets the blanket must be new. Pet dander and hair can increase the risk of an infection.

  • When you come in for your appointment please have reference photos ready to show me. This helps give me an idea of what you like and don’t like.

  • Please do not have any plans for being in water for at least 2 weeks after your tattoo appointment.

  • If you are a person that likes to listen to music while getting tattooed please bring headphones.

Design Process

  • I do not offer in person consultations. This is the consultation. I have a basic idea of what you want and that's all I need to quote you.

  • Since I freehand 99% of my tattoos you will not be able to receive a design ahead of time.

  • Some of the advantages of getting a freehanded tattoo are:

  • Completely custom one of a kind tattoo.

  • The tattoo forms to your body much better than a stenciled tattoo.

  • Once you come in for your tattoo appointment we will talk about your tattoo design further and make sure you and I both understand exactly what you want.

  • Please have reference photos ready to show me.

  • (I often ask “What are we doing today?” This is not because I am unaware of what you want. This is for you to explain in better detail what you want your tattoo to be. Oftentimes people change their tattoo location or tattoo idea slightly and it is not updated in my notes. I ask this to make sure both you and I are on the same page.)

  • You can find things I have saved for inspiration on my pinterest.

  • After I have an idea of what you are wanting, I will start to freehand a design on you, or design the tattoo digitally.

  • Once the design is on you, I will have you look in the mirror at the design and make sure you and I both love it.

  • If you do not 100% love the design I will wipe it off and start over. I can do this as many times as needed until you and I both love the design. If we cannot come up with a tattoo design that you and I both love, 50% of your deposit will be refunded. No hard feelings at all.

  • If for any reason you are unsure about the design please let me know. I have no problem redesigning it for you.

  • After the design has been approved by you, I will have you complete a consent form while the tattoo design dries on you.

  • During the drying process I will give you a few moments to get ready for the tattoo. At this time you will be able to get drinks, snacks, blankets, headphones ready. You can use this time to facetime a friend, use the restroom, or do anything else you wish to further get yourself ready for the tattoo.

Tattoo Process

  • Alot of my clients are female and they tend to get tattoos in more delicate areas. At no point do i want you to get undressed more than you are comfortable with.In the FAQ area of my website i have an area advising clients on some ideas to help you pick effective clothing for your tattoo based on the area.

  • After the consent form has been completed I will start the tattoo process. Depending on the tattoo size, you will be given periodic breaks for me to stretch or snack.(During breaks I can apply lidocaine based products to help soothe pain and irritation if asked.)

  • Once your tattoo is complete I will clean it thoroughly with antibacterial soap.

  • After your tattoo is cleaned, if you consented to photography I may start to take photos/videos of the tattoo.

  • After photography I will verbally go over the best ways to clean your tattoo. (You can also view tattoo aftercare on my website.)

  • If you are someone that likes to talk while getting tattooed, I’m more than happy to talk to you during your appointment if it makes you more comfortable.

  • Some clients are not the most talkative while getting tattooed and prefer to distract themselves by watching something or reading. I have an ipad/phone mount for clients to use during the appointment. You are able to watch whatever you wish while using it. Please bring headphones if you plan on using it.

  • You are welcome to ask me any questions during the tattoo. You are welcome to request breaks anytime you wish. I have no issue giving breaks.

  • I have a large TV in my studio. If you like, you can request stand up comedy, American Dad, Family guy, South park, Brooklyn 99 or Modern Family or other funny movies. (These are all things I enjoy hearing in the background while working. The volume is often very low with subtitles so you will be able to talk to me still without a problem.)

  • Depending on the day I may put my headphones on and listen to music or an audio book while I work.

Creative Freedom

At this time, I am ONLY accepting appointments from people that agree to give me full creative freedom. I have been tattooing for a while and I know what looks best with my style of tattooing. Giving me that creative freedom will ensure that you walk out with a great tattoo.

If there are certain things you absolutely need in your tattoo, please let me know before making your appointment.

(Certain flowers, animals, bugs, anything you 100% need in your tattoo.)

Many flowers do not look great as tattoos and some flowers don't look the best next to other flowers.

By making your appointment you are agreeing to give me full creative freedom so your tattoo can look as good as possible. I can only make the design as cool as you will let me.

At the end of the day I will only tattoo ideas that will look good in my opinion. I tattoo strictly to express my creativity. The moment I start tattooing things I dont want to do or things that are not a true expression of my style, tattooing becomes a “job” and I start to dislike it. I promise to my clients that each tattoo I do will be something I am truly excited and passionate about.

You can reschedule once within a 1 week notice. Note that if you need to reschedule, you will need to make another appointment (This will require a deposit.) Both deposits (Your first and second appointment deposits) will go towards your tattoo total cost.

After making your second appointment online, please email me so I can approve your rescheduled appointment and cancel your original appointment.

If you need to reschedule after the 1 week deadline you will forfeit your deposit as it is harder for me to fill appointment spots on a short notice.

ALL TATTOO PAYMENTS AND DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE

UPDATES

Once your appointment is made, I might need to change the time to an hour or two before or after your original appointment time to try to organize my schedule if there are some gaps in that day.

If I need to adjust your appointment, you will get an automated text and email letting you know it has been moved. This could happen within hours of your appointment time.

Please do not have anything planned directly before or after your appointment (especially returning flights) to avoid complications. Please make sure to have your notifications turned on the day of your appointment. I appreciate your flexibility on this matter.

OUT OF TOWN APPOINTMENTS

If you live out of town, please plan accordingly. I am human so occasionally I get sick. In this situation I will have to cancel your appointment and push it back a day or two.

(Making your out of town trip a day or two longer is a good idea.)

Keep in mind that time zones may be different. If you are unsure of what time your tattoo is in my time zone then shoot me an email and I will confirm it with you.

RULES

Please be on time. (Do not enter my studio before your appointment time. I use any available time in between appointments to clean and set up for my next appointment. The door will likely be locked until your appointment time starts.)

If you will be more than 10 minutes late, please email me so I know you are still coming. Appointments will not be accepted more than 30 minutes late.

Clients are allowed and encouraged to bring ONE guest to their appointment.

I strongly recommend not getting dropped off for your appointment. My studio does not have a separate lobby, so when I am done with a client’s tattoo they are required to leave. You are welcome to uber to a local coffee shop to wait for your ride if they will be late.

PHOTOGRAPHY

After your tattoo is complete I may proceed to take professional photos of it for my portfolio. You will be asked to consent to photography before your tattoo. If you do not consent to photography there will be no photos taken of your tattoo. Just let me know if you do not wish to be photographed or videoed.

For the safety of me and my clients, my studio is equipped with multiple security cameras in the common areas. Your tattoo session will be recorded with audio and video.

MESSAGE FROM MAREK

I understand this all may come off very strict. I just try to cover all areas of concern and answer all questions. This is info I have been adding to for years to answer the main questions I get asked and try to prepare people for their appointment the best I can.

I love tattooing. Tattooing has been one of my favorite hobbies since I started in 2016.

The thing I love most about tattooing is being able to come in everyday and create something I think is cool. The ability to take someone's basic idea and turn it into an awesome work of art is very rewarding to me. It brings me much joy when my clients message me and tell me that they get stopped in public because of their tattoo and start conversations because of it. It's cool to think that my art is bringing people together.

How I design tattoos is typically very different from most artists. 99% of the tattoos I do are freehanded. This means I draw the design directly on your skin with markers. I do not typically use stencils. I feel like tattoos do not flow with the body as well when it is just placed on with a stencil. Creating something unique that was designed specially for each client and their body is something that I absolutely love about tattooing.

My other hobbies include woodworking, furniture design, fishing, interior design, hiking, video games and photography. I'm happiest when I'm joking around.

I love to listen to podcasts and music while I work, sometimes I watch tv or a movie. I've been playing the guitar since freshman year in high school. My favorite things to watch on youtube are woodworking videos, tech reviews, car reviews, science related videos, and family guy highlights and I love stand up comedy.

With all this being said, I hope to work with you soon and create something awesome together.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to let me know.
